About the Event
On Tuesday, October 31, Austin Monthly and Springdale Station invite you out to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve for a one-of-a-kind evening that shall not soon be forgotten. In this 'Dante’s Inferno'–themed night, there will be spooky music, exotic decor, a food truck, and bar specials by Springdale Station. You can look forward to multiple live performances happening throughout the space—modern dancers, fire performers, and an intimate dramatic reading of an eerie tale from KUTX favorite Laurie Gallardo.
The night will culminate with Austin band Montopolis performing a live score to the silent film 'L’Inferno' (1911) at 9:00 pm.
Running at 70 minutes, 'L’Inferno' is the first feature-length horror film ever released. An adaptation of Dante’s journey through hell, this cinematic masterpiece employs elaborate costumes, special effects, and set design to create an awe-inspiring and ethereal world. The original Montopolis score brings new life to the horror classic with a mix of psych rock, dark wave, and terrifying sound effects performed live.
Costumes are highly encouraged, with prizes to win.
Tickets are $20 up until the day of, and $30 at the door.
